━━ ABOUT ECF
Epaphras Canopy Foundation was established to help people move from uncertainty toward safety, stability and opportunity. Our work began with the needs of stranded Ugandans abroad and now also supports vulnerable women, children and families in Uganda.

━━ OUR STORY
ECF was formed around a practical concern: Ugandans who become stranded abroad should have a dignified route home and a realistic chance to rebuild after return. That founding purpose remains central to the Foundation.
As the organisation developed, its work also expanded to vulnerable women, children and families in Uganda, connecting immediate support with education, health referrals, skills development and livelihood opportunities.
Our focus is not only on reaching people in difficulty, but on helping them move toward a practical next step with dignity and realistic support.
OUR FOUNDATION
Our purpose is expressed through a clear mission, a long-term vision and a practical way of working that keeps dignity, accountability and sustainable outcomes at the centre.
To empower stranded diaspora, vulnerable local women and children through social, educational and economic initiatives that strengthen well-being and create practical opportunities.
A Uganda where returnees, women, children and vulnerable families can access the support, skills and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute to their communities.
Dignity, accountability, compassion, inclusion, partnership and sustainable solutions guide how ECF assesses needs, works with communities and delivers support.
━━ OUR APPROACH
We aim to connect immediate assistance with a practical next step, whether that means returning home safely, reconnecting with family, learning a skill, starting a livelihood or accessing an appropriate referral.
