REINTEGRATION SUPPORT

Coming Home Is the First Step. Rebuilding Comes Next.

ECF helps eligible returnees move from arrival toward family reconnection, greater stability, practical skills, livelihoods and renewed participation in community life.

AFTER ARRIVAL

Reintegration Starts With a Practical Plan

Returning home can bring relief, but it may also create new questions around family, accommodation, health, income and education. Reintegration begins by understanding the returnee’s circumstances and identifying realistic next steps.

Reintegration is not one-size-fits-all.
Support is shaped around the returnee’s circumstances, identified needs and the assistance or referrals available.

REINTEGRATION PATHWAY

From Arrival to Greater Independence

Each return is different. ECF uses a simple pathway to understand immediate needs, reconnect people with support and help identify realistic next steps toward stability and independence.

STEP 01

Receive & Assess

Confirm immediate safety, identify urgent needs and understand the returnee’s family and economic situation.

STEP 02

Reconnect & Refer

Support family communication and connect health, protection or specialist needs to appropriate services.

STEP 03

Plan & Build

Identify existing skills, training needs, employment options or a viable livelihood pathway.

STEP 04

Follow Up

Review progress, identify barriers and adjust support where programme resources allow.

Important: The type and level of assistance will depend on the circumstances of each case and the programme resources available. Where direct assistance is not appropriate, ECF may identify a suitable referral pathway.
